Karen asked me to give all of you an update on what I have been doing since my interview last June so here goes.

Other than a few solo gigs in and around my hometown I have been pretty quiet as far as playing live. Other than looking for a new lead guitar player, I wanted to really focus on time with my family over the holidays. I was so busy last fall with playing and working full time that I wasn’t getting much downtime with my wife and kids.

Now that the holidays are over I’ve been concentrating really hard on building an audience using the internet. One of the ways is by building and promoting webpages that offer a few of my songs for free. These pages allow music fans, like yourself, to download a few songs as well give them sort of a guided tour of my story, the music and everything else I am doing online. Next, I have also been learning you to make videos because I am going to start ramping up my efforts on YouTube. I have had many people request that I put up some videos of me doing some cover versions of popular songs. One of the first I plan on doing soon is Johnny Cash’s “Folsum Prison Blues.” Be on the look out for that on my YouTube channel.

Finally, I have begun taking requests to write custom songs. This is something I have been thinking about doing for awhile. I have written a few songs for relatives and because of it have gotten a few requests to write others so I figured what the hell.
